Terms of Service

Welcome. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website, the book As You Think, So Are You — The Fix, the companion app, and any related products or services (collectively, the "Services") offered by Samuel Cooper ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. What We Provide

The Services include:

A free downloadable workbook (the Thought Audit Worksheet).
The book As You Think, So Are You — The Fix, available for purchase in digital and print formats.
The Fix Companion app, a web-based companion tool with both free features and an optional one-time paid upgrade for full access.
Related supplementary materials, scripture cards, and articles.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian, to use the Services or make purchases. By using the Services you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. License to Use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for your own spiritual formation and personal study. You may not:

Resell, sublicense, distribute, or publicly share copies of the book, worksheet, or app content.
Reproduce significant portions of the content (more than brief quotations) without our written permission.
Modify, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract source code from the companion app.
Use the Services for any commercial purpose without a separate license from us.

You may, of course, share short quotations on social media or in conversation with proper attribution. We are glad when our work travels.

4. Accounts

Some features of the companion app are available only to users with an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

5. Payment and Billing

Paid products are sold through our payment processor, Stripe, and (for the book) through Gumroad or other retail platforms. By making a purchase, you agree to provide accurate billing information and to pay all applicable fees and taxes.

One-time purchases are charged at the time of order. There are no automatic renewals or recurring subscriptions unless explicitly stated at the point of purchase.

Refund eligibility is described on our Refund Policy page. Please read it before purchasing.

7. Spiritual Care Disclaimer

The Services are a companion for spiritual formation and personal study. They are not a substitute for professional mental health care, medical advice, or pastoral counseling. If you are in crisis, working through trauma, or experiencing symptoms that affect your daily functioning, please reach out to a qualified counselor, pastor, physician, or crisis service. We are glad to walk alongside you in study; we are not equipped to be your therapist.

8. Intellectual Property

All content in the Services — including the book text, the worksheet, the app interface, illustrations, audio, and the AWARE method — is owned by Samuel Cooper or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. "The Fix" and related marks are our trademarks.

9. User Content

Any journal entries, thoughts, or reflections you write inside the companion app belong to you. We do not claim ownership and we will not read or share your private content. If you create an account and enable cloud sync, we store an encrypted copy on your behalf so it can be available across your devices.

10. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the Services' completeness, accuracy, reliability, or suitability for any particular purpose. Spiritual outcomes, like any matters of faith and formation, depend on God's work and on the individual reader's engagement; we cannot and do not guarantee specific results.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim related to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim arose.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, or damages (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Services or your violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if you violate these Terms or use the Services in ways that harm us or other users. You may stop using the Services at any time. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Services after a change indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.
